ASUU Disclaimer: Beware of FAKE Twitter Account ‘Official_ASUU’

The attention of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has been drawn to the existence of a Twitter account bearing “Official_ASUU” with the handle “ASUUNGR” purportedly belonging to and presenting the views of the of the National Leadership of the Union.

Please be informed that ASUU Leadership at the National Level does not maintain any social media presence being it Twitter, Facebook Account or Page, Whatsapp Account {Single or Group} e.t.c.

Further to the above therefore the Trending Twitter Account “Official_ASUU” with the handle “ASUUNGR”  is spurious and should be protested against.

Consequently Branch Chairpersons are to encourage their members who are active on Twitter to rebuff the Twitter account “Official_ASUU” with the handle at “ASUUNGR” and report same as spurious to enable Twitter LLC pull down the account.
